Standing four meters tall, the cartographically accurate globe created by art duo Studio Job appears overwhelming and impenetrable in the Swarovski Kristallwelten Store Wattens. This globe symbolizes victory and power, as well as knowledge and learning, understanding and hope. The 1,000 kg globe measures 175 cm in diameter and is filled with half a million Swarovski crystals.

Drawing from Hieronymus Bosch’s rich symbolic vocabulary and Buckminster Fuller’s innovative geometric design principles, Melli Ink presents her view of the world in her sculpture City of Glass. The piece sits under a glass dome and is made of glass, rose quartz, and crystal. Ink drew inspiration for City of Glass from Hieronymus Bosch’s works, which were centuries ahead of their time and continue to generate discussion in contemporary art.
